Thinking about my VSP in terms of Ramage5's interpretive relationships.
1. "in terms of" something else
I think people might connect this to advertising and the kind of corporate monster that just wants money stereotype. I want to add some of that in there by alluding to how most of these readymades were created and why (for the purpose of sales and marketing).
2. within a particular genre
The genre is readymades of college students. I think there are a lot more that I could've included. And I don't mind if people connect it to other aspects of readymades. Although I don't want to get too much into the genre of protesting the big companies so I need to be careful of how much of that I let in my images.
3. in light of personal observation
I'm hoping that people will get a lot of personal connection to the images and topics that I picked. My goal is to make it applicable and convey this idea into various areas of life depending on the person viewing it. I picked the images I did because I wanted them to connect to and remind people of the other images they see in their day to day life that back up these readymades so that they can look at them in a new way.
4. in the company of others
Even if people aren't going tot stop drinking and damaging their bodies through all the coffee and energy drinks we consume, I want them to at least see where I'm coming from and consider the idea that maybe there are other ways to go through college.
